Chrissy Miller has been singing since she was a little girl. She was in chorus/band and drama clubs in High School and there is where it all began! Her Choir Director noticed that Chrissy was a very shy and quiet singer (don't laugh; it's true)...but heard potential in Chrissy's little voice. So she suggested private voice lessons. Very quickly it was decided she loved to sing and entertain. Chrissy studied private voice with Jessie Bowman; now Jessie Barth for about 7 years. Chrissy was chosen best female vocalist of the Class of '87; participated and placed at District and Regional Chorus with Featured Solo's at both concerts; Sang National Anthem for Altoona Curve; leading role as "Reno Sweeney" in the show "Anything Goes"; and performed at many fairs/festivals/concerts in PA; DE; NY and NJ for venues of 2,500-4,000 people at a time. Locally over the past 20 years she sang with Body and Soul; Wilde Carde; Black Widow; Left on RED; Fat Girl Slim and most recent hot country band AC Express. If Chrissy is not singing; she has a back up career as a self-employed hairdresser and sings with www.alandchrissy.com, an acoustic duo featuring her and her hubby. She is also married of 11 years and still madly in love ~ to Al Miller; Guitarist for AC Express....Uh, that is the "AC" of AC Express! The Express is the wonderfully talented bunch along with us in this crazy venture! Oh, yes ... she is also Mother of three lovely children; has one adorable Grandson and has a Crazy Doggie named POLO that she and Al rescued from PAWS. Chrissy also loves her Boat at Lake Raystown and you can usually find her there on her "off" days catching some rays and tippin' back some Corona's!
Al Miller...aka: The Guitarman!
Al was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He started taking guitar lessons about the age of 8 from a traveling door to door guitar teacher. Al has been playing ever since her picked up that guitar! All through his school years he played in bands all around the Buffalo area. He decided to move to California in the early to mid 70's. He got a job teaching guitar and started to help others put bands together (Rock School); all while also playing in bands himself. He landed a job with a touring Vegas Showband after that and went on tour all around the U.S. playing for major Hotels and Casino's. One of his bands brought him to State College on tour and well he liked it here in Happy Valley and decided to settle down for a while (he's still here). Still playing; still teaching ... in the early 80's Al started his own teaching business: Guitarman Studios and Rock School...he still teaches a bit but is semi-retired and enjoys playing in AC Express. There is much more to say about Al Miller, but he is very modest...believe me folks once you her him play you understand what I'm talking about! Al loves all kinds of music especially the classic rock and the blues. His influences are/were: David Gilmore; Eric Clapton; Gary Moore; B.B. King...and many more. Chrissy makes him play country music though, LOL...he doesn't mind too much cause he "rocks it all up" anyway. Al has two great children and is married to Chrissy Miller. He loves his dog POLO and his boat!
Brad Lunsford is a drummer, percussionist from State College, Pa. He commenced his drumming career in Clearfield, Pa at the age of two when he found that spoons made a really cool sound when hit upon the bottoms of T-Fal pots. Concerned about the imminent damage to their kitchen appliances, Brad’s mom and dad purchased him a very cheap REMO drum set and immediately scheduled drum lessons with noted local music store owner Jack Straley. Years of lessons and drumming with his elementary and middle school band paid off when in 1978, he received the greatest Christmas gift ever. A top of the line Ludwig drum set. Brad’s first real gig occurred during his ninth grade year when his band Dilemma played for the 2nd grade class at Hyde Elementary School. Since then, Brad has drummed for Rocknaut, Junction, Pushin the Limit and drummed for Hat Trick from 1984 through 2000. In addition to modern country, Brad enjoys playing classic rock and Jazz/Polka/hip hop fusion as well as Gregorian Chants. Brad is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. (not what you think) in Public Service and received his law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law. He currently serves as Judge of the Centre County Court of Common Pleas. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Penn State. In his spare time, Brad enjoys traveling with his family and teaching his dogs how to play the fiddle.
Jon Cabot Lodge (Keys, Bass, Vocals) is a musician. He plays Drums, Guitar, Bass, Piano, sings lead and back-up vocals. Jon comes from a musical family. His father had a successful band in the 70's and imparted this appreciation for entertaining through music to his son. At the age of 15 he started a band called Voyager with a couple of friends out of Harrisburg, PA and it quickly moved from a garage band to one that was opening for national recording artists. By the time he was 16 Voyager had recorded their first EP. He continued to play touring the East Coast in the band until he got married at the age of 21. Since then he has played and led multiple praise and worship teams for church's and conferences. He has been recording in his home local bands and most recently recorded and produced the band ChoSen. Currently he enjoys playing with his friends in AC Express. He has two beautiful little girls who he loves to spoil and a loving supportive wife. He teaches history at State College Area High School and is an advocate for students.

Before forming Valley Stomp with Celia, he played with local bluegrass bands "Backseat Drivers" (2008-2009) and "Allegheny Ridgerunners" (2009-2011), the latter being especially noteworthy for their Pennsylvania-flavored original songs. In addition to bluegrass, Kurt enjoys playing classical, English & Scottish country dance, and Irish music. During the day, he works as a software programmer for EnergyCAP, Inc, an energy software company based in State College. Kurt is involved with his church and enjoys spending his spare time with family and friends, camping, reading, and developing software.
